Wong Halves 10 vs A Index Blackjack

Wong Halves 10 vs A index: about +4 on the halves scale. If you double tags to skip fractions, that same play is +8 on the doubled scale.

Wong Halves 10 vs A index blackjack

Hard 10 vs dealer Ace: +4 halves · +8 if tags are doubled

Basic strategy is hit. The Wong Halves 10 vs A blackjack index is when you double. On Stanford Wong’s halves true-count scale that is typically +4.

Many counters double every tag (5 = +3, 10 = −2) so they never add 0.5. Then they must double the index too: 10 vs A becomes +8 on that integer scale. Mixing a halves-scale +4 with doubled tags is a common leak.

Wong Halves (often misspelled wrong halves) is from Stanford Wong’s published work. Indices follow your tag scale. Casino play is risky; this site is practice only.

Halves scale vs doubled-integer scale

Wong Halves tags aces and tens at −1 (aces are in the main count — no required ace side count). That makes its true-count scale closer to Hi-Lo than to Hi-Opt II. A Hi-Opt II 10 vs A +8 pitch chart is a different system; do not paste it into Wong Halves unless you are on the doubled-tag scale and the play is this same double.
